The International Congress of Maritime Museums 2024 will be held in the Low Countries from 15 until 21 September 2024.
The International Congress of Maritime Museums (ICMM) has been organised biannually since 1972 for maritime museum professionals. The objective of the congress is to share and gather knowledge and new insights, and to discover maritime stories worth exploring.
Programme
The programme consists of lectures, workshops, discussions and site visits on a variety of issues of concern to maritime museums and takes place in Rotterdam, Enkhuizen, Amsterdam and Antwerp. These four ports in The Netherlands and Belgium each have their own unique history and character, but share a rich maritime heritage.
The combination is attractive, since travel distances in this region are short and transportation is fast and easy.
On Thursday 19 and Friday 20 September, the congress programme takes place at Het Scheepvaartmuseum. The programme can be attended by visitors of the ICMM 2024 for which registration is now closed and fully booked.
